Phoenix Class

So while still working on the frigate I have begun production on another human ship and alien ship.

The alien ship right now is giving me some trouble with it's organic shapes.

In the mean time this is what have new.

Space Battle Open Source

So until I figure out Vray to render out what I have done with my Cortana character model I might as well show what my next thing I am doing.

I have joined a open source project done by Van CG Meetup under the leadership of Nikolai Romick.
Our team is sponsored by Video Copilot and Annex Pro.

Like the title suggest it's a space battle mixing all difference franchises together in a melting pot of destruction.

I plan to get 2 more space vessels done but right now I have this.







 I plan to get to at least 2 of these

Model Progress

There are a lot of things I still have to fix.

One of them is topology of the figure and resizing of proportions.

But this is where I am at right now.

...and the boob needs to be fixed a little.

Then once all is done, the next challenge is rigging, YAY!

Summer Modeling

Thank you for being patient with me.

I have been busy this summer. I was a little difficult to work on my 3D modeling work with outside work taking a lot of my time and that it is quite uncomfortable to work in a non AC environment.

But here it is my completed commission work based on a little video game that you may know of.

Commission project

Sorry it has been a while since I have posted anything.

So a friend recently got a 3D  printer and I helped out in creating a model for him to print off.

It was hard as hell to find good reference images for me to use to model off of but in the end I had to recreate the reference for an accurate model.

Oh, the item in question is the data chip that holds the AI Cortana from the Halo video games...more specifically from Halo 3.







The model is done, and for kicks and giggles, I'll be texturing it and adding effects to it next.

More tests

Please let me know what I can do to make it look better.

And there will be atmosphere placed in the scene to make the mountain/ships look like they are further out.
All that will be done in AF.





Fog

Damn fog is hard to get right.

FYI, I'm using volume fluid shape to get the fog/low clouds
